I paint these Pop Botanicals fairly intuitively. I think loosely about colour relationships, complementary and analogous colours, but mostly I paint what I feel people need to see. This was the first Pop Botanical I painted, and the one I painted for what I saw: the light green hiding in a leaf for a moment in time, when the sunlight and the leaf meet just right.
A Pop Botanical inspired by the [PLANT NAME], an Australian native plant. Painted by hand to order in the same design and colours you see here. Each one is still unique, depending on where I place the brush strokes and how the colours are mixed.
If you would like specific colours or a different plant, please request a commission.
As these are unframed canvas boards, they don't come with hanging hardware.
A few suggestions for display:
a) a small metal mini brace
b) place in a shadow box
c) picture Velcro strips
d) display on a small easel (Kmart Australia, approx. $8)
Or, for something more finished:
e) a professional art framer
